A new model of the PlayStation 5 console could soon be on the market.
The reason for the acceptance is the approval of a model of the “CFI-1200” series in Japan, which is equipped with improved radio technology.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communication has certified the new model and thus confirms compliance with the local guidelines and standards for radio and wireless communication devices.
For the original PlayStation 5, Sony used the “CFI-1XXX” scheme for the model number, whereby the revised hardware from last year was called “CFI-11XX”.
Sony could soon reveal what is hidden behind the name “CFI-1200”.
Already in May last year we reported on a hardware redesign of the console, which could be released in 2022.
