Electronic Arts today announces a new series of limited special items in EA SPORTS FIFA 22: FUT Captains. These items are a tribute to the largest captains of world football, both from the past and the present. For the first time, there will be players’ versions of historical content. The items are available from 08 April to 22 April 2022.
There will also be ten Fut Hero Captains. Futheroes will receive their own unique, heroes-inspired fut-captain item. Nine will be available in packs and one will be published as Squad Building Challenges (SBC). Some fu-hero captains will have a different league and position compared to their original FUT-HERO version, depending on where they were captain at that time.
FUT Captains are integrated into two teams with an additional release in EA SPORTS FIFA 22, the first of which with eleven captains and four Hero Captains will be published on 8 April at 19:00. For Germany, the Captains Marco Reus of Borussia Dortmund, Christian Günter from the SC Freiburg and Jonas Hector of 1. FC Cologne are included. The Hero Captain is Antonio di Natale, Freddie Ljungberg, Clint Dempsey and Diego Milito to choose from. The additional release will be released on Sunday, April 10 at 19:00.
The second team will appear on April 15, 2022, the additional release then on 17 April 2022. A complete list of all players can be found here.
